New rules in the application of funds to make scientific and technological research more dynamic
Grants from the Regional Government of the Azores destined for making technological and scientific research more dynamic, as outlined in the Integrated Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation (PICITT) will, starting Tuesday, be subject to new rules.
These new rules relate to governmental support granted to researchers that attend scientific meetings in Portugal and abroad and for advances scientific training.
These governmental grants that are regulated by legal decrees of the Regional Secretary for Science, Technology and Equipment are meant for universities, departments, research centres, laboratories, scientific foundations and researchers. These grants are intended to promote scientific research and assure that the Region remains in tune with the latest scientific developments.
