Azorean Pavilion at Lisbon Book Fair 2009
The Autonomous Region of the Azores will attend the 79th Lisbon Book Fair with its own pavilion. This event was taken place in Lisbon between April 30 and May 17. The Azores Pavilion is an initiative of the Regional Directorate of Culture (DRaC) under the jurisdiction of the Presidency of the Government, having the purpose of disseminating the literary works of Azorean writers or works concerning Azorean themes.At the DraC’s invitation, the Azores Pavilion included the Azores Institute of Culture, Ponta Delgada Cultural Institute, Horta Cultural Centre, the University of the Azores, Vila do Porto and Santa Cruz das Flores Town Halls, Veraçor, Ensaius and the Solmar Bookshop – Arts and Letters. 
During the event, opened on April 30 at 5 PM, five Azorean young students collaborated on the sales at the Azores Pavilion (Pav. E II 19). Lisbon Book Fair will was opened on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 11 AM and from Monday to Friday at 12:30 PM. In turn, it was closed from Monday to Thursday at 8:30 PM, on Sundays and holidays (except on the holiday preceding the weekend) at 10 PM, and on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 PM. The book fair was closed at 12 AM on the final weekend.
